Ingredients

  • 1 to 2 pounds of frozen chicken wings
  • Cooking spray preferably avocado or canola oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Optional Seasonings:

  • Garlic powder
  • Paprika or smoked paprika
  • Onion powder
  • Cayenne pepper for heat

Optional Sauces:

  • Buffalo sauce
  • BBQ sauce
  • Honey garlic sauce
  • Ranch seasoning or dipping sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Place the frozen chicken wings directly into the air fryer basket in a single layer. It’s okay if they’re stuck together at first.
  • Cook the wings for 10 minutes to help them defrost and start browning.
  • Open the basket, separate any wings that are still stuck, and flip each one using tongs.
  • Return the wings to the air fryer and cook for an additional 10 to 15 minutes, flipping once halfway through. Total cook time is about 20–25 minutes.
  • Check that the internal temperature of the wings has reached 165°F (74°C) using a meat thermometer.
  • If you want to add sauce or extra seasoning, toss the wings immediately after cooking while they’re still hot.
  • Serve right away with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

Best served hot with dipping sauces like ranch, blue cheese, or spicy mayo. Wings can be reheated in the air fryer at 350°F for 5–7 minutes.
