For the Middle Layer:
16 to 20Oreo cookies
For the Brownie Layer:
1batch of brownie batterhomemade or boxed
½cupmelted butter
1cupgranulated sugar
½cupcocoa powder
2large eggs
1teaspoonvanilla extract
¾cupall-purpose flour
½teaspoonbaking soda
Optional Add-ins:
¼cupmelted dark chocolatefor extra fudgy texture
Chopped nutspeanut butter, or caramel (for fun variations)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9-inch baking dish and line it with parchment paper.
Press the cookie dough evenly into the bottom of the dish to form the first layer.
Place Oreo cookies on top of the cookie dough in a single layer. Do not press down.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, and cocoa powder until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, then stir in flour and baking soda until just combined.
Pour the brownie batter over the Oreo layer and smooth the top with a spatula.
Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Cool completely in the pan for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Pro Tip: Add 1/4 cup melted dark chocolate to the brownie batter for extra richness. You can use boxed brownie mix and store-bought cookie dough for convenience.
